To display contractor listings in our directory
To route lead inquiries to relevant contractors
To send account-related emails (password resets, subscription confirmations)
To improve the Service and detect abuse
To process payments (via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

Contractors: When you submit a lead form, your contact details are shared with matched contractors
Service providers: Stripe (payments), sending email providers (notifications) — bound by data processing agreements
Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

4. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics (if any) are used solely to improve the Service and are not shared with advertisers.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Lead data is retained for up to 2 years to support billing disputes and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

8. Lead Sharing with Contractors

When you submit a quote or contact request through our platform, we share the following information with matched local contractors: your name, phone number, email address, city, and project description. This sharing is necessary to fulfill your service request.

Lead data is shared only with contractors relevant to your stated niche and location
Contractors are independent businesses, not employees of ProList Local
You will receive contact from contractors directly — we do not sell your data to data brokers or advertisers

9. CCPA — California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you additional rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know: You may request a disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you
Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
Right to Opt Out: We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes. When you submit a quote request, your contact details are shared with service contractors to fulfill your request — this is a service delivery activity, not a sale
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights
